We are looking for a skilled Tax Professional to join our team in the Alternative Investments and Private Equity Practice groups.

The ideal candidate will have experience with partnership tax returns, specifically Form 1065, and be familiar with Subchapter K reporting matters.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax returns, researching and consulting on tax matters, and supervising and developing junior staff members.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance, significant progress toward EA License or CPA certification, and at least 3 years of recent public accounting firm experience.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and leadership abilities.

Job Summary:

  • Prepare and review partnership tax returns (Form 1065)
  • Research and consult on tax matters
  • Supervise and develop junior staff members
  • Ensure excellent customer relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Review operating agreements, letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other legal documentation related to tax transactions
  • Expand knowledge and application of Subchapter K and overall professional development
  • Perform complete and efficient technical reviews of pass-through entity tax returns
  • Manage budgets and seek efficiencies
  • Direct and control concurrent assignments to successful completion
  • Develop and lead associates through engagements
  • Provide feedback and guidance to associates
  • Collaborate to identify and sell opportunities among existing customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance
  • Significant progress toward EA License or CPA certification
  • At least 3 years of recent public accounting firm experience
  • Experience working with partnership entities (Form 1065) and dealing with Subchapter K reporting matters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Leadership abilities

Working Environment:

This is a full-time position with expected billable hours of 40 per week. The employee is expected to work in our office but may also work remotely as needed.

Busy Season: Extended hours required during peak season.
