Job Summary:

The primary role of a Senior Associate is to review the work prepared by associates and advanced associates on moderate to complex tax returns. Senior tax associates should foster a collaborative relationship with associates and managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Display a good level of understanding of moderate and advanced tax concepts on partnership and corporate tax returns, and continuously enhance tax knowledge for associates and advanced associates through client work and staying up to date with tax developments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of tasks assigned to their team.
  • Train and mentor associates and advanced associates.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements, update the team with additional research and position taken on the returns.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with the teams in India and in the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Manage and lead a team and the team's workflow effectively with minimal assistance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching/mentoring abilities.
  • Experience in US Corporate taxation (1065/1120)
