Senior Associate Role

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Senior Associate is to review and finalize tax returns prepared by junior associates. This role requires fostering a collaborative environment, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring exceptional quality in deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Display in-depth understanding of complex tax concepts and continuously enhance knowledge through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of tasks assigned to junior associates and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Train and assist junior associates with their questions on day-to-day basis.
  • Contribute to tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on individual tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate effectively with teams across different geographies.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040)
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting
  • Able to manage a team and the team's workflow
