Job Title: Cloud Operations Specialist

About the Role:

As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions across production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem analyses, establishing best practices for problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement service level agreements (SLAs) for critical services.
  • Develop and maintain automation for deployment, scaling, and recovery procedures using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
  • Run and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar roles.
  • Proficient in AWS-related services, including provisioning and setup of metrics in Prometheus, Grafana, and alerts.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting skills with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Deep understanding of observability tools such as ELK stack and distributed tracing systems.
  • Provisioning and setup of logs and queries for general questions.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar database systems, including replication strategies.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, and security best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git Ops workflows.
