Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

The role of the Senior Finance Manager is crucial in driving business success through effective financial management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and developing strategic financial plans.

  • Financial Planning and Strategy

The Senior Finance Manager will lead the financial planning process, including budgeting and forecasting, to ensure alignment with business goals. They will develop strategies to optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability.

  • Financial Management

The Senior Finance Manager will monitor financial performance, provide insights for decision-making, and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. They will manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee accounting team performance.

  • Accounts and Reporting

The Senior Finance Manager will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other applicable laws. They will liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.

  • Compliance and Audit

The Senior Finance Manager will manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization efficiently. They will oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management. Strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors will be established for fund raising and project financing.

  • Treasury and Working Capital Management

The Senior Finance Manager will implement effective cost accounting systems and monitor production-related costs. Periodic MIS reports will be developed and presented to management for financial performance tracking. Financial analysis will support business units with pricing, costing, and investment decisions.

  • Cost Control and MIS

The Senior Finance Manager will lead and mentor the accounts and finance team, ensuring skill development and high performance. Strong internal controls and processes will be established across the department. A culture of integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement will be fostered.

  • Team Leadership and Development

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Experience: 8-15 years post CA qualification experience in Accounts and Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector)
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management
  • Proven track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
