Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to enhance and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products. As a key member of our Consumer and Community Banking Digital team, you will play a crucial role in building and delivering innovative applications and systems that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute creative software solutions to build innovative applications and systems.
  • Develop and review high-quality production code to ensure operational stability and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues and improve overall operational stability.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and technical credentials.
  • Drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering communities of practice.
Requirements:
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java, J2EE, and RESTful web services for enterprise-scale application development.
  • Experience with event streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka.
  • Proficiency in working with NoSQL databases and relational databases.
