Fraud analytics plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of business operations.

As a fraud data analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing predictive models to detect suspicious activities and patterns.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and deploying machine learning algorithms to identify vulnerabilities
  • Continuously optimizing fraud monitoring systems to improve detection accuracy
  • Analyzing internal and external data sources to identify areas for improvement

You will also stay up-to-date on emerging industry trends, competitor analysis, and regulatory changes. This information will be used to inform strategic decision-making and provide actionable insights.

As a leader, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of data analysts, data scientists, and market intelligence specialists. You will also work closely with risk management, compliance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.

The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in data science, statistics, economics, or a related field, along with 10+ years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, or data analytics. Proven track records of developing and implementing fraud detection systems, as well as experience with market intelligence tools and competitive analysis, are also highly desirable.

Key technical skills include expertise in data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS), familiarity with machine learning platforms and fraud detection software, and knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent leadership and team-building abilities, strategic thinking, and effective communication are also essential.
