Cloud Data Engineer Position

Description:

Highly skilled AWS cloud professionals are sought after for the position of Cloud Data Engineer. The role involves full lifecycle management, from design to deployment, of data engineering solutions on AWS.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions using a variety of AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business requirements-driven solutions.
  • Develop high-quality code that is efficient, secure, and well-documented.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and address complex issues such as performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technologies and apply this knowledge to improve existing processes and systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technology, preferably 4-8 years.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing data engineering solutions like Enterprise Data Lake and Data Hub on AWS.
  • Proficiency in Lambda or Kappa Architectures and programming languages such as Python or Scala.
  • Experience with Big Data frameworks and related technologies, including Hadoop and Spark.
  • Good understanding of DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD Frameworks).
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Account Config, and AWS Config Rules.
  • Knowledge in AWS Security and Key Management.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in building real-time processing systems using platforms like Storm or Spark Streaming.
  • Skills in Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Work experience in offshore/onshore engagements.
  • Knowledge in workflow tools like Airflow, Nifi, or Luigi.

Education and Certifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • AWS certification as a Data Engineer is highly recommended.
