Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned database expert to implement, configure, maintain, and optimize critical Oracle RDBMS systems including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand).
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Lead and support end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in scheduled maintenance windows.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Strong understanding of database administration, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
