Team Director Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead a team of researchers and engineers in developing innovative solutions in image processing, computer vision, and deep learning. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills to drive cutting-edge projects from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality research output and product-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Define project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.

Research & Development:

  • Design, implement, and optimize deep learning and computer vision algorithms for tasks such as detection, segmentation, tracking, and recognition.
  • Drive innovation in image analysis, medical imaging, industrial vision, and AI-powered automation by staying updated with the latest trends, tools, and publications in AI and vision technologies.
  • Translate business needs into AI-based solutions and oversee end-to-end pipeline: data acquisition, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (data science, software, product, hardware) to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Present results to stakeholders, prepare technical reports, and support publications/patent filings.
  • Represent the team in conferences, client meetings, and technical collaborations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science & Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in image processing, computer vision, and deep learning, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/mentorship role.
  • Strong track record in developing and deploying deep learning models (Unets, CNNs, Transformers, GANs, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, DICOM, NIfTY, and related libraries.
  • Experience with MLOps, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and model optimization (quantization, pruning).
  • Strong publication/patent record (for R&D roles) or deployment history (for industry roles).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical imaging, autonomous systems, robotics, or industrial inspection.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, CE Marking for SaMD).
  • Strong understanding of data management, annotation strategies, and synthetic data generation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
