System Reliability Engineer

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems. We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead our Site Reliability Engineering team.

Responsibilities:
  • Reliability & Performance:
    • Ensure high availability and reliability of services through proactive maintenance and monitoring.
    • Define Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for optimal business outcomes.
    • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies to maintain seamless operations.
  • Incident Management & Response:
    • Establish and improve incident management processes and on-call rotations to minimize downtime.
    • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for high-priority outages, ensuring swift resolution and prevention of recurrence.
    • Drive post-incident reviews to ensure actionable insights are implemented and maintained.
  • Automation & Tooling:
    • Develop and implement automated solutions to reduce manual operational tasks and enhance efficiency.
    • Enhance system observability through metrics, logging, and distributed tracing tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic APM).
    • Optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments and minimal disruption.
  • Collaboration:
    • Partner with software engineering teams to improve application and infrastructure reliability.
    • Work closely with product/engineering teams to design scalable and robust systems that meet business requirements.
    • Ensure seamless integration of monitoring and alerting systems across teams for cohesive operations.
  • Leadership & Team Building:
    • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of SREs, promoting SRE best practices and fostering a culture of reliability and performance.
    • Drive performance reviews, skills development, and career progression for team members, ensuring continuous growth and improvement.
  • Capacity Planning & Cost Optimization:
    • Perform capacity planning and implement autoscaling solutions to handle traffic spikes efficiently.
    • Optimize infrastructure and cloud costs while maintaining reliability and performance, minimizing waste and maximizing ROI.
