Role Overview

We are on the lookout for an exceptional Naval Architecture SME to join our team of data scientists and engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and building digital solutions for large container ships, focusing on areas like fuel consumption-power curves, vessel hydrodynamic performance models, and predictive models for parametric/synchronous rolling.

  • You will work closely with our data scientists to develop impactful solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • With your extensive knowledge of naval architecture, you will help build and guide the development of digital twin models, ensuring they meet the required specifications and deliver expected results.
  • You will also be responsible for identifying relevant data sources and developing analytics solutions to support decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 12-20 years of experience in naval architecture, including ship design, vessel digital twin, and fuel performance curves.
  • A strong understanding of data science concepts, including simulation, optimization, and machine learning models.
  • Excellent consulting skills, with experience in leading teams and driving project outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
