Job Description

Galleon Consultants specializes in integrated solutions to drive business growth and competitive advantage.

As a Senior System Engineer, you will provide day-to-day support for client networks, servers, storage, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience administering, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Windows-based networks and servers.

  • Maintain our clients' IT infrastructure remotely or at customer sites when needed.
  • Help architect and implement wide-ranging IT projects, such as high availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Serve as the escalation path for issues desktop engineers or helpdesk staff cannot resolve.
  • Work closely with managers, service coordinators, and other engineers to meet customer service-level commitments and provide world-class customer service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, remote or on-premise as needed.

You will also be required to:

  • Represent the company positively and professionally with our clients.
  • Have strong experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 administration, and Windows security.
  • Have hands-on experience with firewalls and switches (Cisco, SonicWALL, Dell, Fortinet).
  • Be familiar with on-premise and cloud-based backup solutions and cloud-based email systems (O365, GSuite).
  • Have experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, etc.).
  • Be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and excellent time management.
  • Have strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Possess CCNA or equivalent network experience and/or MSCE or equivalent server experience.
