Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Director to lead our technical teams and drive the delivery of complex projects.

  • This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Leading technical teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget;
  2. Developing and reviewing project scopes, schedules, and budgets;
  3. Evaluating the technical competence of team members and identifying training needs;
  4. Building relationships with stakeholders to identify business opportunities;
  5. Coaching and mentoring team members to support their development;
  6. Maintaining records of Continuing Professional Development and complying with audit requirements;
  7. Leveraging digital capability to deliver engineering solutions.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A BEng and/or MSc/MEng or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering from a reputable institution;
  • Chartered professional status;
  • Significant relevant experience, including leadership of the development and implementation of engineering solutions;
  • Strong technical skills in structural design;
  • Interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to provide leadership around health, safety, and welfare within your area of responsibility;
  • Experience of managing business relationships with internal and external clients.
