Business Valuation Expert

As a seasoned professional in the field of business valuation, you will play a critical role in assessing the financial worth of companies and intangible assets. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing historical financial results to identify trends and potential risks, challenging assumptions related to future projections, and assisting in developing discount rates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial statements, including common size analysis and ratio analysis, to gain insights into a company's financial health.
  • Market Research and Growth Estimates: Perform thorough market research to develop industry growth estimates and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Valuation Modeling: Construct and review complex valuation models to ensure accurate assessments of a company's value.
  • Report Preparation: Assist in the design and preparation of valuation reports that present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in fair value assessments, purchase price allocation, and goodwill impairments with a reputable organization.
  • Proven expertise in traditional valuation methods and proficiency in financial databases such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Functional understanding of financial statements analysis and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
Desirable Skills:
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) and/or certifications (e.g., CA, CFA) in a relevant field.
  • Experience in valuing contingent consideration and mergers & acquisitions, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
