Internal Audit Role

As a key member of the global internal audit team, you will play a vital role in ensuring financial and operational integrity. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned audit professional to join a multinational company with a strong presence globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive audit programs aligned with the company's audit plan, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Lead audits and reviews across various business units, applying industry best practices and standards to identify areas of improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with audit clients and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and alignment on audit findings and action plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all audit work papers, adhering to established procedures and quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with business teams to enhance control awareness through training programs, providing feedback on observations and supporting implementation of ERM frameworks and control self-assessments.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Ethics and Compliance programs, identifying and reporting unusual events or business irregularities, and participating in forensic audits and fraud investigations as needed.
  • Provide guidance to business units on compliance requirements, internal controls, ERM, and audit areas, ensuring adherence to Occupational Health & Safety expectations, Standards of Business Conduct, and other directives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in internal auditing, with relevant certifications (Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor) and 7-10 years of experience in internal audit. Proficiency in technical skills such as Accounting Standards (Ind AS, US GAAP, IFRS), SAP, MS Office, and database systems is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment.

Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (and/or) Cost & Management Accountant, with relevant Internal Audit experience (and/or) Certified Internal Auditor.
  • 7-10 years of Internal Audit Experience.
  • Exposure to Manufacturing / Process industry preferred.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience of Accounting Standards viz., Ind AS, US GAAP, IFRS.
  • Exposure to accepted practices of Accounting Consolidation, preparation of financials and reporting.
  • Forensic Reviews / Fraud Investigations experience (Preferred).
  • Exposure / Hands-on experience on SAP and highly skilled in MS Office package.
  • Tech savvy, good understanding of Database Systems and ability to employ technology effectively.
  • Good communication skills in English both verbal and written.
