Job Title: Senior AS/400 Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking a seasoned AS/400 Senior Support Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced level technical support for AS/400 systems, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and performing code walkthroughs.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of AS/400 architecture, technologies, and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless system integration.
  • Document dependencies with L2/L3 support teams and interactions with infrastructure teams for AS/400.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of COBOL, RPG programming, DB2 databases, CL commands, and communication protocols specific to AS400.
  • Experience with IBM AS/400 (COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, CLLE) and understanding of business purposes of the AS400 application.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify root causes of complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
