Job Summary:

The Director-Oracle will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of Oracle-related projects and services. This role involves managing a team of Oracle professionals, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Oracle professionals.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    • Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
  • Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute the Oracle strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management to define and prioritize Oracle projects.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of Oracle solutions.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices in Oracle configuration and customization.
    • Stay updated on Oracle platform updates and industry trends.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage development timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Track and report on project progress and key performance indicators.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes.
    • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
    • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Service Delivery:
    • Oversee the delivery of Oracle support, maintenance, and enhancement services.
    • Ensure timely resolution of client issues and requests.
    • Implement and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Continuously improve managed services processes and methodologies.
    • Implement best practices for incident management, problem management, and change management.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Overall 15+ years of experience, 10+ years of experience in Oracle deployments (Functional/technical/project management).
  • At least one greenfield deployment experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP, CRM, and cloud solutions- SCM and Finance modules preferred, multi-module experience strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in Oracle databases, applications, and middleware.
  • Experience with Oracle integration tools and techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data migration and ETL processes.
  • Experience in the Hi-tech, Healthcare & Pharma, and Manufacturing sectors.
