Heavy Engineering Fabrication Quality Assurance Expert

This role is centered around ensuring that all heavy engineering fabrication projects meet international standards and customer specifications.

  • The ideal candidate will develop and implement quality assurance procedures for heavy fabrication projects.
  • They will conduct inspections of raw materials, welding, machining, painting, assembly, and final fit-up to guarantee the highest quality.
  • A thorough review of relevant industry standards such as ASME, AWS, ISO, EN, DIN, IBR, and client specifications will be performed to ensure compliance.
  • Performing NDT inspections (UT, RT, MT, PT) as per project requirements is also a key responsibility.
  • Monitoring and validating fabrication processes of cranes, transporters, hoists, and specialized attachments will be crucial in maintaining quality standards.
  • The successful candidate will verify dimensional accuracy, load-testing, torque checks, and functional trials of MHS equipment.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Quality Reports will also be required.
  • Collaboration with design, production, and client inspection teams to ensure adherence to quality standards will be essential.
  • A strong focus on root cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformities will be necessary.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with EHS protocols in quality processes will be paramount.

A degree or diploma in Mechanical/Fabrication/Production Engineering is required. A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in quality control within Heavy Fabrication/MHS/EPC/Shipyard/Crane Manufacturing industries is also necessary.
