Operational Risk Manager

Job Summary:

• This is a full-time leadership position responsible for managing operational risk across various areas, including internal control assessments, developing SOPs and policies, third-party risk management, incident management and reporting, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.
• A leader with experience in Operational Risk Management (ORM) will be responsible for leading and managing projects, creating detailed project plans, reviewing, verifying, and validating existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects to ensure timely delivery, create detailed project plans, and review, verify, and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices.
• Identify changes to the risk profile and consider its impact on the heat map for risk rating, meet business needs and regulatory expectations for assessing key aspects of each area under review.
• Demonstrate independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation and presentation, and the production of documentation strong enough to evidence a sound challenge to both internal and external parties.
• Engage proactively with process owners and risk departments to ensure timely completion and finalization of projects, provide regular updates on project execution and quality reviews, and highlight findings that warrant discussions with Risk Management Committees.
• Develop and present risk dashboards and risk analytics on key items, demonstrating value provided to stakeholders.
• Investigate operational risk and governance standards, undertake detailed risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), define KRIs along with associated thresholds, undertake KRI monitoring, establish and link to loss data and incident reporting workflows.
• Responsible for preparing proposals, pitch decks, presenting in client meetings, and thought leadership documents across various ORM-related areas, apply problem-solving skills, conceptual, and analytical thinking, and lead team building, mentoring, and project management.
• Manage stakeholders and projects simultaneously, maintain excellent MS-Excel, Word, and PPT skills.

Requirements:

• Must be an Indian citizen or have a valid work permit in India, this is a full-time position.
• The probation period is 6 months, compensation varies depending on skill, fitment, and role played by the person.
• 22 working days per year plus additional leaves for national holidays, sick leaves, maternity, paternity, bereavement, and studies vary based on city and country of engagement.
