Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Credit Analyst. This role involves providing insightful and timely credit analysis to support our Account Managers with credit reviews, ongoing risk monitoring, and client creditworthiness.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of our risk assessment and portfolio risk management framework, which they will use to assess Standard Chartered's risk appetite against market and economic conditions across different markets and asset classes.

  • Lead credit reviews and analyze client credit risk to ensure creditworthiness.
  • Provide succinct and timely client portfolio credit analysis.
  • Accountable for spreading financials, proposing credit grades aligned to scorecards, documenting client risk and mitigants, and monitoring for credit-material events.
Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Partnering with Banking, Coverage, and Risk teams to develop and execute credit analysis, credit origination, and monitoring relevant matters.
  • Delivering client fraud risk assessments to defined standards, documenting residual risks and mitigants.
  • Credit intelligence to identify business opportunities with an acceptable risk profile by supporting Relationship Managers, FI Bankers, and Product teams with product solutioning and recommendations.

  • Quantitative skills.
  • Client due diligence expertise.
  • Product knowledge for Markets, Transaction Banking, and Corporate Finance.
  • Data analysis and visualisation abilities.
  • An ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
