Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

CognitiveBotics Technologies Private Limited is an AI-powered digital therapeutics and eLearning platform designed to support early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodivergent conditions.

By leveraging advanced AI capabilities, we provide personalized, adaptive learning pathways that help children acquire cognitive, social, emotional, and communication skills.

Currently in the pre-revenue stage with a validated product and early pilots, CognitiveBotics is now embarking on its commercialization journey in India and select global markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to design effective test cases.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications as applicable.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Provide timely and detailed test execution status reports to the QA Lead/Project Manager.
  • Support UAT by assisting business users and validating fixes.
Quality Assurance Practices:
  • Follow industry best practices for QA including risk-based testing and defect management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and methodologies.
Additional Expectations:

With 4 years of experience, you will be expected to mentor junior testers, take ownership of testing for assigned modules/projects, provide input for test effort estimation and project planning, and identify opportunities for test optimization and improvements in QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Good understanding of different types of testing including functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke, sanity, exploratory testing.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
