We are currently seeking a skilled professional to lead the installation and maintenance of solar power systems at project sites in Liberia.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar PV systems and a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities include supervising and monitoring all solar PV electrical works on-site, including the installation of panels, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and cable routing. Additionally, they will review and interpret solar electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, string configurations, and layout plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor all solar PV electrical works on-site.
  • Review and interpret solar electrical drawings and other documents.
  • Oversee the installation of LV/MV systems, grounding/earthing systems, protection systems, and monitoring equipment.
  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for solar systems.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with international standards and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate daily site logs, quality reports, material inspections, and testing records.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical on-site solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's is a plus, with 10 years of experience in solar PV system installation and supervision. Strong knowledge of solar PV system components and familiarity with electrical safety standards and testing equipment are also essential.
