Solar Engineer Role Overview

We seek an experienced Solar Engineer to lead sales, installation, and commissioning of solar power systems. This key role requires technical expertise in solar systems, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, and commission on-grid, hybrid, and off-grid solar power systems.
  • Conduct site assessments, load calculations, and technical feasibility analysis for solar projects.
  • Prepare project proposals, technical drawings, and BOQs in coordination with sales and management teams.
  • Coordinate with local authorities for solar net-metering applications and related approvals.
  • Supervise installation teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and provide training when required.
  • Manage after-sales service, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting of installed systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Monitor project timelines, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
  • Build, train, and manage a local team to expand solar operations.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and progress updates for senior management.
Required Qualifications:
  • BE/Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in residential solar projects.
  • Proficiency in English (written & spoken).
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of On-grid, Hybrid, and Off-grid solar power systems.
  • Experience in TNEB processes for solar installation and approval.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Skills Required:
  • Technical expertise in solar PV system design and installation.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong sales and negotiation abilities.
