
People Operations Specialist Intern

About the RoleThis is a remote internship based out of our office. We welcome diversity and appreciate diverse perspectives in the workplace.
Main Responsibilities- Employee Onboarding: Assist in preparing offer letters, induction materials, and first-day experiences to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
- HRIS Management: Support maintaining accurate data on employee attendance, leave, documents, birthdays, and anniversaries.
- Employee Exit: Help with offboarding formalities, including exit letters and documentation, to ensure a respectful and smooth transition.
- Policy Support: Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating People policies aligned with our async-first culture.
- Event & Engagement: Coordinate book clubs, tech meetups, and casual team check-ins to foster a culture that is lived, not just written.
- Compliance & Admin: Assist in documentation, agreements, and record-keeping to maintain audit readiness.
- Pulse Checks: Collect and summarize employee feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- AI Enthusiast: Experiment with AI and incorporate best practices to enhance efficiency and drive process improvements.
Bonus points if you have hands-on experience in college fests, logistics, or admin coordination, strong MS Excel/Google Sheets skills for managing data and reports, interest or coursework in People, operations, or business administration.
Your First 3 Months- Month 1: Familiarize yourself with systems, shadow onboarding and administrative tasks.
- Month 2: Own data accuracy, vendor coordination, and support events.
- Month 3: Run onboarding end-to-end, manage operations independently, and provide insights for process improvement.
