**Job Title: Senior OSP Engineer**

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed drawings using CAD and QGIS tools for various projects.
  • Create high-level design to facilitate manufacturing operations or product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure model accuracy, design, and industry-standard drafting.
  • Perform file maintenance, backup, and storage tasks as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and layering is necessary.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Outside Plant, running line, conduit, and cable design for fiber optics is required.
  • Experience in the Outside Plant telecom industry, public right-of-way, private easements, and existing utilities is desirable.
  • Knowledgeable in city, county, state, and local municipalities encroachment permits, Traffic Control, and specialty permits is highly desired.
  • Must be able to interact with local municipalities, Telco engineers, and construction/maintenance forces to acquire OSP Records, ICGS, Assessor Maps, map info, AIS, and Construction Prints.
  • Site surveys, translating field notes to develop and update conduit/cable engineering design drawings in AutoCAD, are essential.
  • NDS and AutoCAD experience are necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience (up to 8-12 years).
  • Strong preference for Telecom experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with different work groups internally or externally.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter.

**Physical Demands:** Sitting for extended periods while viewing a computer monitor and performing various desk work. Dexterity of hands and reaching to operate keyboard/calculator and file documents. Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs. Vision requires eyesight sufficiently strong enough to permit extended close work and normal color perception. Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
