Identity and Access Management Expert Sought

Our organization is searching for a seasoned professional to assume the role of Identity and Access Management (IAM) expert.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing and managing IAM solutions, ensuring secure and scalable authentication and authorization for applications and APIs.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust IAM services that enhance user experience while adhering to the highest security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IAM Solution Design & Implementation:
    • Design, implement, and configure IAM tenants, applications, APIs, and connections.
    • Set up and manage various authentication methods, enterprise identity providers (OIDC, SAML), and passwordless authentication.
    • Develop and manage custom IAM rules, actions, and hooks to tailor authentication and authorization flows to specific business requirements.
    • Configure and implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and other advanced security features.
  • User Role Management & Access Control:
    • Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) using IAM features.
    • Define and manage user roles and permissions within IAM and integrate with application-level authorization.
  • Integration & Development:
    • Integrate IAM with various web, mobile, and backend applications using IAM SDKs and APIs (e.g., IAM.js, IAM-react, Node.js, .NET, Java, etc.).
    • Work with development teams to ensure proper integration of authentication and authorization into new and existing applications.
    • Develop and maintain secure API endpoints that leverage IAM for authorization.
  • Best Practices & Support:
    • Stay up to date with the latest security vulnerabilities and best practices in the IAM space.
    • Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents related to authentication and authorization.
  • Mentorship:
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, other developers, DevOps, and security teams.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on IAM best practices.
Required Skills:
  • Deep expertise in IAM solutions, particularly Auth0.
  • Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, including OIDC, SAML, and passwordless authentication.
  • Experience with custom IAM rule development, actions, and hooks.
  • Familiarity with RBAC and ABAC concepts and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
