The position of Innovation Manager for Beauty Devices involves leading the product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization. This role requires expertise in hardware new product development (NPD) and a deep understanding of consumer electronics and beauty devices.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Develop problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics, aligning with brand, supply chain, and finance objectives.">
  • Drive product concepts through engineering verification testing (EVT), design validation testing (DVT), and production validation testing (PVT); manage tooling, tolerances, materials, and reliability testing.">
  • Evaluate motor, heat, and airflow modules, as well as power electronics and safety features.">
  • Identify and qualify original equipment manufacturer (OEM)/original design manufacturer (ODM)/component suppliers; run request for quotes (RFQs), negotiate minimum order quantities (MOQs), and build should-cost models.">
  • Plan test protocols and documentation for international standards, such as BIS/CRS, IEC 60335 series, RoHS/REACH, EPR (e-waste), WPC (RF), and UN38.3/IEC 62133 (if batteries).">
  • Collaborate with industrial designers to ensure ergonomics, acoustic comfort, thermals, and serviceability; packaging fit/spec.">
  • Pilot builds, line setup, standard operating procedures (SOPs), spares/after-sales, user manuals, and risk registers.">
  • Monitor field performance, net promoter score/reviews, failure modes; drive rapid revisions and cost/quality improvements.">

Must-Have Qualifications:

">
  • 6-10 years in hardware NPD for small appliances/consumer electronics/beauty devices.">
  • Proven design for manufacturability/design for excellence (DFM/DFX) skills, basic electrical/mechanical engineering literacy (PCBA, plastics, metals, silicone), tooling, and reliability testing experience.">
  • Strong vendor management skills in India/China/Korea; hands-on with RFQs, bills of materials (BOMs), process FMEA, first article inspection/testing (FAT).">
  • Familiarity with Indian and global compliance pathways for consumer devices.">
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo), basic finite element analysis/computational fluid dynamics interpretation, project management tools (Jira/PLM), and Excel for should-cost modeling.">
  • Execution bias; ability to run parallel tracks and meet deadlines.">
