Business Credit Manager Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Business Credit Manager to oversee the credit evaluation, risk assessment, and approval process for clients, vendors, or business partners. The successful candidate will ensure that our organization's credit policies are applied consistently to minimize risk while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients, vendors, and partners by analyzing financial statements and repayment history.
  • Conduct risk profiling, scoring, and due diligence before approving credit limits.
  • Recommend or approve credit applications in line with company policies.
  • Develop and implement credit control policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Continuously review and update credit risk models to align with market changes.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and highlight early warning signals of default risk.
  • Track outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to manage delinquencies, disputes, and recovery actions.
  • Generate credit MIS reports on portfolio health, overdue accounts, and risk trends.
  • Build strong relationships with clients while maintaining prudent risk practices.
  • Support management in strategic decisions on customer financing and credit exposure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience in credit analysis, risk management, and portfolio management.
  • Strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
