Leading Program Manager Role

A seasoned professional is sought to manage our field operations, oversee team members, and maintain strong relationships with farmers.

This position plays a critical role in achieving the desired outcomes of improving water quality and maintaining healthy stocking densities. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operational Management
    • Team leadership: Lead 3+ team members.
    • Project execution: Supervise the implementation of protocols and experiments.
    • Data management: Ensure timely and accurate data entry.
    • Quality control: Conduct audits and ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Farmer Engagement
    • Relationship building: Build and maintain relationships with farmers.
    • Farm information management: Obtain and update farm information at regular intervals.
    • Field presence: Spend significant time in the field engaging with stakeholders.
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance
    • Strategic input: Provide input during strategic meetings with FWI leadership.
    • Expansion: Lead the enrollment of new farms in the program.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Nationality: Right to work in India.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors.
  • Language: Fluency in oral and written Telugu and English.
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required. Expect extensive fieldwork in surrounding villages.
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads.

Preferred Criteria

Candidates meeting the following criteria will be preferred:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or greater in relevant fields.
  • Technical expertise: Previous experience with water quality analysis and management in aquaculture.
