Job Title: Catastrophe Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Catastrophe Risk Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our catastrophe risk management function, you will play a vital role in helping us understand and mitigate potential risks associated with natural disasters.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. You will also possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement catastrophe risk mitigation strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Catastrophe Risk Modeling & Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain catastrophe risk models to assess potential exposures from various natural hazards. This includes analyzing large datasets, identifying exposure hotspots, and generating risk reports to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Mitigation Strategy Development:
  • Assist in the development of catastrophe risk mitigation strategies, including reinsurance, alternative risk financing, and other loss prevention mechanisms. This involves working closely with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders to understand risk appetite and ensure alignment on catastrophe risk strategy.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
  • Manage and analyze catastrophe-related data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy. Develop and present detailed risk reports to senior management, highlighting areas of concern, risk exposure, and proposed solutions.
