Job Description:

As a Sales Specialist for Wind Turbine Upgrades, you will simulate the site-specific benefit of our upgrade portfolio while verifying the structural integrity (mechanical loads) of installed wind turbines.

This role requires a global and cross-functional approach, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers, Service regions, and headquarter functions.

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Re-assess existing/planned wind farms using an internal tool chain to confirm the compatibility of certain upgrades and turbine-specific structural integrity.
  • Assess site-specific wind conditions, apply mechanical load mitigation strategies, and run bucket approaches.
  • Support upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns, and initiating implementation.
  • Collaborate with global service regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and stakeholders.
  • Have a measurable impact on the business performance of the global Service business unit.
  • Build a network within the company and industry to stay up-to-date on new technological developments.
  • Represent the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 5-10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry.
  • Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, focused, and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in a complex environment.
  • Optional knowledge of wind turbine technology, WindPRO, and Python experience.
  • Fluent in English, German an advantage.
