Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead our software development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in web services and server-side technologies, with a strong understanding of software product development.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing project execution against plans and delivery commitments, planning releases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and encourage innovation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project development and coordination of realistic project estimates, plans, and metrics
  • Ensure all releases meet defined release criteria
  • Collaborate with Product owners and application specialists to groom the product backlog
  • Track team progress toward milestones/sprints using key performance metrics
  • Provide high-level and detailed project status and health
  • Serve as a central point of contact for project questions
  • Champion release management practices within Agile delivery teams
  • Drive cross-functional team activities and deliverables
Requirements:
  • Experience: 8+ years of program management experience in software releases in an Agile SW development environment with technical management experience
Must-Have Skills:
  • Software Development: 6+ years of total software engineering experience with a thorough understanding of software product development
  • Leadership: 3+ years of experience in software engineering leadership managing a team of 10-15
  • Tech Skills: Strong application development experience with Java, JavaScript, Node.Js, Python, .NET, etc.
  • AI & NLP: Knowledge of AI, NLP, ML, Chat bots is an added advantage
  • WebServices: Experience in WebServices using REST, SOAP
  • Collaboration: Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Leadership Competencies: Strong leadership competencies including strategic thinking, result-driven, building a high-performance culture, and inspiring others
  • Agile Methodology: Experience running projects using Agile principles with industry standard tools and best practices
  • Communication: Able to interface with technical and non-technical audiences and present to executive management
  • Project Management: Monitor and report project progress periodically and set processes for project execution
  • Organizational Abilities: Excellent organizational abilities and risk management skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and ability to adapt as the company grows and processes change
  • Technical Lead Experience: More than 3 years of experience as a technical lead
  • Programming Skills: Good hands-on experience in Java/Javascript programming
  • Architectural Experience: Exposure/experience at Architect level
Education Qualification:
  • Degree: Graduate in Engineering or Masters in Computer Applications
