Job Description

As a Senior GitLab Expert, you will play a critical role in implementing and managing our enterprise-wide GitLab infrastructure.

You will be responsible for assessing the current infrastructure and determining the requirements for implementing GitLab, working closely with internal and external teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Infrastructure Assessment and Implementation:
  • Assess the current infrastructure and determine the requirements for implementing GitLab, collaborating with internal and external teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • Design and implement solutions based on those standards.
  • Installation and Configuration:
  • Install, configure, and manage GitLab on servers, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Implement Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools to set up and configure required infrastructure.
  • Integration and Security:
  • Integrate GitLab with existing tools and services used by the corporation, configuring security settings and access controls for optimal performance.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth workflows and high productivity.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to team members and engineers on using GitLab effectively, developing and maintaining documentation for setup and usage within the enterprise.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with GitLab infrastructure, applying best practices for version control, code review, and collaboration.
  • DevOps Initiatives:
  • Contribute and participate in all DevOps initiatives within the organization, working closely with development teams to ensure successful adoption of GitLab.
  • Implement scripts and routines to automate mundane and error-prone tasks, provisioning and orchestrating container workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • Experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps, and other related tools is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train and support team members.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
