Data Platform Observability Lead

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data platform observability efforts, ensuring end-to-end visibility into system performance, data pipeline health, and operational reliability.

This role requires expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive observability frameworks, defining key SLIs, SLOs, and KPIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive incident management and root cause analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or observability roles, as well as strong expertise with observability tools and platforms, such as Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.

  • Design and implement comprehensive observability frameworks to monitor system performance, data pipeline health, and operational reliability
  • Define and track key SLIs, SLOs, and KPIs across critical platform components and data pipelines
  • Lead the integration of monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting tools to enable real-time insights and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with platform engineering, SRE, and product teams to enhance observability coverage and automate incident responses

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and coach engineers and analysts on observability concepts and tools.
