Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced revenue accounting professional to lead our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Review contracts and statements of work to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606.
  • Lead a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls for revenue recognition and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, supporting the completion of financial statements.
  • Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and petty cash management.
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile cash and sales transactions across all outlets.
  • Establish sound financial policies aligned with operations, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
  • Supervise daily cash and sales postings from all outlets into the system, ensuring completeness, verification, and error-free data.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in real-time.
  • Prepare financial documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
  • Address audit queries and complete audit processes promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Support the accounting team in daily tasks, providing training on accounting procedures and system updates.
  • Implement checks and balances to prevent errors or fraud, recommending process improvements to strengthen internal financial controls.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide regular MIS reports and financial insights to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or CA preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of revenue recognition based on ASC 606 (US GAAP) in a SOX compliant environment.
  • Proven experience in contract reviews/statement of works, invoicing, and collections strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with software packages including NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, strong management skills, with a willingness to dive into processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the capacity to proactively identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
