Cloud Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Specialist to oversee the development and implementation of cloud solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Design and implement proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes for cloud solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable.
• Cloud Security and Integration: Develop Integration Design and Security Design for Web Services and Enterprise component development, ensuring secure and efficient integration of cloud services.
• Cloud Administration: Work on networking and security topics as an AWS cloud administrator, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Cloud Storage and Management: Manage storage solutions like AWS Storage, ensuring data is securely stored and easily accessible.
• Kubernetes Expertise: Work extensively on AWS Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS), creating and managing Docker images, and deploying containerized applications.
• Cloud Cost Optimization: Analyze cloud costs, create estimates, and apply best practices to ensure cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage Kubernetes system services and worker nodes, ensuring smooth operation and scalability.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Database Administration and DBMS teams, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create documentation and design documents, providing clear and concise information on cloud solutions and technologies used.
• Problem-Solving and Creativity: Provide cost estimates for project requirements, leveraging problem-solving skills and creativity to deliver innovative cloud solutions.
• Tech Leadership: Cross-functionally collaborate with senior architecture groups, internal technology teams, and contribute to internal initiatives, driving technical excellence and innovation.
• Technical Expertise: Maintain good understanding of Kubernetes API and client libraries (Postgres, Redis, Prometheus, etc.), staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile delivery methodology (backlogs and sprints), applying it to deliver high-quality cloud solutions on time.
• Team-Oriented Environment: Team-oriented environment success, collaborating effectively with team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, conveying complex technical information clearly and concisely.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Certifications: AWS Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
• Programming Experience: Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience with hands-on coding and ability to program independently.
• Linux/UNIX Experience: Strong Linux/UNIX experience.
• Terraform Experience: Hands-on experience in Terraform.
• AWS Cloud Platforms: Experience with various AWS Cloud platforms across a wide range of services.
• Cloud Security: Experience implementing AWS Cloud Security.
• Database Knowledge: Knowledge of Postgres databases (preferred).
• Load Balancing and Auto-Scaling: Load Balancing, Auto-Scaling, and Route 53 for traffic management.
• Networking Experience: Network Access Control List, VPC peering, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail experience.
• Highly Available Architectures: Ability to design Highly Available and/or Fault-Tolerant Architectures.
• Open-Source Technologies: Experience with open-source technologies and tools.
• Kubernetes Deployment: Highly scalable solution design and deployment expertise in Kubernetes.
• Optimized Coding: Understanding of optimized coding for memory consumption, performance, scalability, security, caching, etc.
• Docker and HELM Experience: Docker, HELM, and Kubernetes experience (mandatory).
• Scripting Languages: Scripting languages (YAML) experience.
• Stateless/Stateful Applications: Stateless/stateful applications deployed on Kubernetes in production environments.
• Reporting and Analysis Tools: Working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes APIs, reporting and analysis tools for cloud platforms experience.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: CI/CD pipeline development from scratch experience.
