Linux Software Repository Expert

We are seeking an experienced Linux software repository expert to oversee the maintenance and integrity of our software repository.

  • Maintain and manage software dependencies
  • Compile source code and create software packages
  • Develop and provide software patches
  • Document changelogs and maintain software documentation
  • Resolve bugs using debugging tools like gdb
  • Collaborate with upstream developers to review changes
  • Utilize tools like autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, and version control systems (cvs or git)

Required skills include proficiency in:

  • Linux operating system
  • Bash scripting
  • C programming language
  • Python programming language
  • Build system tools (GCC)
  • Version control systems

Experience with Slackware Linux is a plus, but candidates with knowledge of other Linux distributions will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively to meet deadlines.
