Accessibility Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Specialist to join our team. As an Accessibility Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and improving the accessibility of our digital products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct automated and manual audits to identify accessibility issues in websites, portals, LMS, documents, and multimedia content.
  • Test and remediate PDFs and Office documents by adding tags, structure, alt text, headings, forms, and reading order.
  • Develop and provide clear, prioritized fixes and hands-on remediation support for videos and multimedia content.
  • Guide developers on accessible coding practices using ARIA, semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Prepare VPATs/ACRs and client-facing accessibility conformance documentation.
  • Advise clients on ADA, Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and emerging US/state accessibility laws.
Required Skills & Tools:
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508.
  • Hands-on experience with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, ARIA, CSS3, JavaScript, and React/Angular.
  • Strong documentation/reporting skills, including audit findings and VPAT/ACR reports.
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or higher education contracts is preferred.
