Retail Planner Job Description\

As a Retail Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective management of inventory, category planning, and dispatch planning to ensure optimal stock levels, efficient buying, and strategic allocation of resources.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail and have experience in inventory management, category planning, and team collaboration. A degree in fashion designing or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, maintain optimal stock turns, and adjust forward-month buying based on projected closing stock.\
  • Category Planning: Develop option plans, create buy plans, and propose bi-annual discount lists.\
  • Dispatch Planning: Coordinate the distribution of goods to stores, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.\
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives, share knowledge, and provide support when needed.\
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance the retail planning process.\
  • Analytical Skills: Use data analysis and visualization tools to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.\
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including store managers, suppliers, and customers, to resolve issues and meet expectations.\
