Job Description

Special Education and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled physiotherapist to join their dynamic team.

The center provides special education and vocational training for children and adults with disabilities. The physiotherapist will work closely with rehabilitation professionals, including speech therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments for children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays.
  • Develop treatment plans and therapy goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals.
  • Deliver 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's needs.
  • Provide support for physical access and mobility within the school environment.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes using evidence-based tools.
  • Support pupils with postural management programs, mobility aids, orthotics, and safe handling strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and school nurses.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and reviews.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, risk assessments, and reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years experience working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration.
  • Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children.
  • Knowledge of conditions affecting motor development and experience with specialist equipment.
