Job Title:Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities and Mandate:
  • Manage stock replenishment in assigned areas of the supply chain network to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Define safety stock norms and maintain optimal stock levels across all distribution facilities.
  • Deliver high fill rates at all distribution facilities and ensure on-time finished goods delivery of consumer promotions, new launches, and seasonal plans.
  • Ensure high stock freshness across all distribution facilities and work on strategies to reduce slow-moving inventory.
  • Coordinate between demand and supply teams to align and ensure stock availability.

 

Main Tasks and/or Projects:
  • Monitor daily stock availability and plan distribution accordingly.
  • Align with logistics teams on dispatch schedules and release dispatch plans.
  • Optimize truck utilization for all vehicle movements to reduce transportation costs.
  • Ensure on-time dispatches and manage stock levels in distribution facilities to avoid sales losses or stockouts.
  • Proactively identify gaps in service levels and suggest improvement plans.
  • Align new product development, promotion, and seasonal plans with demand teams and ensure timely distribution.
  • Maintain required stock freshness in all distribution facilities and highlight risks associated with slow-moving inventory.
  • Work on action plans to reduce SLOB generation and provide forward requirement visibility to supply teams.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
