Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Dealersocket. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and leadership skills.

About the Role:

  • Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
  • Combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate and/or manage a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable.
  2. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
  3. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  4. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  5. Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant.
  6. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  7. Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
  8. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  9. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
  10. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  11. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  12. Plan, assign and review staff's work.
  13. Support month-end and year-end close process.
  14. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  15. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief or Senior Accountant.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Awareness of business trends.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
