Senior Lead Risk Management Consultant

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Risk Management Consultant to join our team in India. This full-time position offers an estimated salary of $100,000 - $120,000 per annum.
Job DescriptionThis role involves managing the 'Risks & Controls' function for the Business Unit (BU), which includes identification and evaluation of new and existing potential risk items, setting up and evaluating new and existing control structures, testing process and control effectiveness, and working with various teams, leadership, and business partners to address opportunity areas and ensure compliance on all aspects. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving awareness and coaching on this front, as well as driving a strong 'Culture of Compliance.'
Main Responsibilities:- Process/Procedure Inventory Management: Ensure a deep understanding of business processes and procedures, including their effectiveness, relevance, adequacy, and ongoing evaluation to guarantee inventory accuracy and coverage of all existing and new areas.
- Risk & Controls Management: Conduct ongoing risk assessments, work with business leaders and process owners to review and update Risks & Controls Inventory, establish controls, and ensure they are working as expected, while managing deviations and risk events.
- Change Management: Implement process changes, coordinate with relevant parties, maintain change logs, and report status to leadership.
- Feedback Sharing/Manage Consequence Management Process: Provide detailed feedback on process deviations, work with employees to close gaps, implement consequence management processes, and report status.
- BUs Awareness/Coaching: Drive updates, process adherence, and culture of compliance through creative methods, policy/procedure updates, and themes derived from internal checks.
- Projects & Initiatives: Support as a SPOC on critical areas like BUCL, LEAN, ADTRAX, ISO, suggest ways to enhance control effectiveness, eliminate/minimize risks, and contribute to value addition.
- Skill-set Upgradation: Stay up-to-date on all aspects, support teams, and contribute to value addition.
- Administrative Work: Respond to emails, manage training completion, and perform other administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Graduation degree
- Deep understanding of business policies, procedures, and processes, as well as applicable risks and controls
- Thought Leadership Skills to manage risks and controls effectively, think outside the box, eliminate/minimize risks, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Results Leadership Skills to manage execution of KRAs, projects/initiatives, and deliver results
- People Leadership Skills to drive a strong culture of compliance by working with employees, leaders, and business partners
- Self-Leadership Skills to ensure timely completion of projects/initiatives consistently
