Job Overview

The role of a Packaging Sourcing Manager involves strategic leadership and vendor partnerships to ensure high-quality packaging materials. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Management: Select and evaluate vendors to meet business goals.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Use data and strategic principles to assess cost, quality, risk, and compatibility.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead all aspects of procurement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis for informed procurement decisions.

As a Packaging Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships and ensuring the procurement of high-quality packaging materials.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of sourcing category leads.
  • Supervise and guide the development of sourcing strategies and new product packaging concepts.
  • Provide mentoring, training, and performance management to team members.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with equivalent experience.
  • Degree from the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is desired.
  • Packaging background in FMCG or Pharma.
