Quality Leader Job Description

The Quality Leader plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and quality standards are met. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and address customer needs and expectations.
  • Develop and implement a customer-focused quality organization structure.
  • Coordinate customer audits and visits, ensuring timely closure of observations.
  • Manage the submission of PPAP documents and ensure timely closure of related issues.
  • Monitor and improve customer quality performance metrics, including ZMPD, PPM, and warranty rates.
  • Investigate and recommend new technologies, methods, and procedures to enhance customer quality and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Total 5-8 years of experience in the gear/transmissions manufacturing industry, preferably in customer quality.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analysis tools knowledge and problem-solving skills using FTA, 8-D, Fishbone, and Why-Why analysis.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA).
  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Proven experience as a customer quality leader or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
