Job Description

Embark on a challenging role as an Automotive Gateway Requirements Lead, where you will be responsible for modeling and simulating complex systems to ensure seamless integration across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modeling and Simulation:
    • Create high-fidelity models of sensors and actuators using Simulink or equivalent tools to drive informed decision-making.
    • Design models that integrate seamlessly into VHiL, HiL, SiL, and CoSim environments to enhance system performance.
    • Establish interface standards for model consumption across simulation platforms to foster collaboration.
  • Data Acquisition and Characterization:
    • Lead data collection efforts from physical devices to support model validation and performance characterization.
    • Analyze diagnostic responses and performance metrics to refine model behavior and optimize system efficiency.
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Develop and execute test cases based on customer feedback and evolving model requirements to ensure robustness.
    • Integrate vehicle calibration variations and real-world operating conditions into models to simulate realistic scenarios.
  • Change and Release Management:
    • Manage the model lifecycle, including enhancements, release documentation, test coverage, and technical support to ensure smooth transitions.
    • Maintain traceability and version control across model updates to guarantee accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, hardware, controls, and diagnostics teams to gather and align requirements effectively.
    • Balance short-term and long-term modeling fidelity needs between in-house and supplier-based solutions to maximize resource utilization.
    • Harmonize virtualization requirements across vehicle and propulsion domains to ensure seamless integration.
  • Requirements Definition:
    • Define virtualization requirements for modeling, hardware, controls, and supplier ecosystems to establish a solid foundation.
    • Translate calibration differences into robust model design strategies to minimize errors.
