Job Title: Event Operations Manager

Role Description:

Our team is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to oversee the production and presentation of food items that meet customer and client expectations as well as maintain and continuously improve the efficiency and profitability of our operations.

  • Ensure safety and hygiene policies are strictly followed at all times.
  • Control the quantity and quality of ingredients, ensuring they are received as per laid down specifications; responsible for training receiving area staff on ingredient quality.

Maintain records of all hygiene-related procedures, initiatives, and incidents. Co-ordinate with QMHSE and H&FS teams to implement policy and processes. Ensure timely reporting of incidents to concerned teams.

Operational ownership of all QMHSE and H&FS processes.

Timely communication of all possible on-site hazards to concerned departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Operation:

  • Ensure all service deliveries are carried out as per terms and conditions agreed upon with clients.
  • Manage menu recipes rotation for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and special events.
  • Initiate development of new menus, upgrade old menus, and special event menus.
  • Taste food before service begins and develop new ideas for promotions, festivals, and other special events.
  • Plan pre-preparation areas to ensure items are processed according to recipes.
  • Maintain standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavor of foods consistently.

Organic Growth and Profitability:

  • Develop and promote service excellence, retail offers, and value-added offers to ensure organic growth of sales and sites.
  • Sustain and build site profitability through timely analysis of reports and provide solutions to counter discrepancies.

Cash and Debtors Management:

  • Responsible for accurate control, handover, and deposition of cash; maintain accurately all specified cash control documents.
  • Ensure all invoices are raised and delivered to clients as per schedule.

People Management and Training:

  • Manage on-site teams including cooks, MPWs, stewards, cashiers, and stores assistants.
  • Implement and carry out all HR processes and staff welfare activities.

Communication and Client Retention:

  • Stay in close communication with clients regarding services, additional business, new initiatives, and hygiene.
  • Ensure 100% client retention.

Wastage Control and Cost Management:

  • Maintain records of daily leftovers and plan production based on this data.
  • Minimise wastage and recycle excess ingredients for other dishes in accordance with highest hygiene standards.

Legal Compliances:

  • Co-ordinate with HR, QMHSE, and Legal departments to ensure all legal compliances are met and maintained.

Systems Implementation and Process Management:

  • Ensure all systems and processes are implemented and followed as per company policy.
  • Document and display all work processes.

Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Responsible for monitoring daily raw material indent.
