Electrical Project Lead Position

This role involves hands-on experience in estimation, bidding, conceptual and detailed design, calculations, and drawings/documentation for high-voltage substation projects. Relevant experience in project management, engineering, coordination, and site implementation of electrical equipment is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-project engineering and detailing with material take-off
  • Review of technical specifications
  • Preparation of clarification requests
  • Technical evaluation of vendor/supplier proposals
  • Review and finalization of technical data schedules
  • Preparation of base design documentation and calculations
  • Preparation of general arrangement/sections and details for finalization of overall layout drawings
  • Preparation of civil guide drawings as required for the interface/developing associated civil drawings
  • Preparation of overall services coordination drawings
  • Detailed review of civil design sub-contractor's design output and coordination of interfaces with others (electrical, services, etc.)
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of all technical specifications, condition of bidding, pre-qualifications, and market prices
  • Experience with associated software programs and design calculations
  • Ability to prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and ensure compliance with project time schedule and sequence of civil site works
  • Coordination and discussion of Owner/Engineer comments
  • Preparation and review of detailed scope of work for civil design sub-contractor
  • Support procurement procedures like enquiries, price comparison, and order placement
  • Coordinate with vendors and sub-contractors for design/documentation outputs
  • Review of vendor documents with respect to project specification and drawings
  • Identification and resolution of limitations/hold-ups for progress of design works
  • Submission of sub-contractor designs/drawings to customer
