Job Overview


We are seeking an accomplished Commercial Director to spearhead our business development initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy that drives growth, optimises revenue, and enhances the company's market position.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies that align with the company's vision and goals.
  • Liaising closely with senior managers to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination across departments.
  • Supporting the tendering and contracts awards process to secure new business opportunities.
  • Negotiating, developing, and managing commercial agreements to maximise the company's interests.
  • Providing commercial support on all operations and development work to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensuring commercial practices comply with industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and developing growth opportunities for the company.
  • Supporting the development of new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Managing the team of commercial contracts and legal staff effectively to drive results.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on activities as required by senior management.
  • Reporting any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management.
  • Participating in and promoting company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, or economics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and development objectives.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.
